Julie Woods |
Julie Woods ~ It seems that my labels keep changing as I keep growing! ;-))) Currently, I'm standing in being an "Urban BlissShaman". As I prance my own path, I'm sharing my lessons with -- and learning wonderful lessons from -- every soul I encounter. I continue to revel in the privilege and pleasure of expressing my love for growth in my own life in a way that, I hope, can inspire others to find health and healing for themselves. Through music, painting, dance, percussion, and -- of course -- vocals, I learn and share in ways that exponentially open me into places of love and service. Although it sounds like tofu-yogurt-and-birkenstocks talk, I really do believe that, ultimately, we're all expressions of The One. The Belly and Womb Conference is one of the few places that I teach because it's one of the few places filled with those who listen with heart, center creativity, AND head. As always, thank you for your generosity in helping me joyously bring forth ever-evolving ways to empower my self, our shared communities, and the world. |

Mother Turtle aka Marsia Shuron Harris |
Mother Turtle Deep Belly Dreamer, Musician, Evolving Woman
Mother Turtle is a singer, songwriter and musician who has been performing her original music since the early 90's. Her voice is distinctive and her music is said to be, “...soulful enough to inspire even the most cynical bastard to dance.” (Northeast Performer Magazine) Over the last year, Mother has begun facilitating a class on “The Stories We Tell Ourselves,” where she helps women uncover and discard the unhealthy stories they are carrying. She uses her original music, meditation, writing and ritual, to take you on a journey of self-discovery. Women leave her having written new stories to hold and to grow into, that not only effects their own lives, but also the lives of others. “After a series of Sweat Lodges, I received the guidance that I was to help women let go of their old “moldy” stories. The stories that they have carried too long, that have caused them pain, and have stopped them from pursuing their dreams and creating happiness for themselves. I taught the first class at Daughter’s of the Earth last year and now know this is a path I will stay on. I am humbled and amazed by the strength and willingness of the women to dive deep, to change, heal and grow. I am convinced that WE ARE the Women, and now IS the time for us all to access the power in our bellies, and rid ourselves of what no longer serves us. This single act alone will indeed create change in the world.” Mother T.
