Women are ready. Something internally is guiding us. We are ready to build into our society more support and honoring of life. It begins with us. Here in the Red Tent Temple that we can bring into every village, city and town, women of all ages, of diverse beliefs can gather in the honoring of our journey of womanhood. Here we have a chance to rest, to be nourished, to serve, to receive, to listen to our own inner voice and one another's. It is a grassroot movement that has the potential of bringing something back into our culture at large that can restore, rejuvanate and by our building of community can act for the common good.

If you want to begin one of your own please be in touch so we can network. It is an act of service and devotion for women to be tending monthly to the Red Tent Temples. One thing that we are learning is that if we want this in our women’s culture we must be willing to not only receive but to also serve the vision. Women who are holding these are looking for help by other women who feel as passionately about this as they do.

A new aspect of this vision is to collectively join together nationally and internationally into a network that will be called, Daughters of the Earth Alliance. It is possible from here for us to be a force raising our voices on issues that are effecting and impacting our world. I am looking for co-collaborators on both fronts. If you have experience in non-profits or can consult around this growing vision please contact me. If you want to be on an email list please sign in on the homepage of this website and this will begin the start of that database. As we forge ahead we will be back in touch.

Description

The Red Tent Temple is a sacred place where all women
are invited to gather to give back to ourselves.  It is a place of your very own making – a place to rest, meditate, relax, enjoy homemade soup and herbal tea, read a book, journal, sing, laugh, cry, knit, draw, give and receive nurturing touch, and to network with like-minded interesting and empowered women.  The Red Tent is an organic space for YOU to be YOU, with no agenda, expectations or obligations.  Come as you are, or come as you wish to be – and wear red if you like! You deserve this.

A $5 donation would be appreciated; and if you feel called to bring
some type of food to share it would be welcome!  This is a women-only event.

Description

The Red Tent Temple Movement was started as a way to create sacred space for women and is spreading internationally.  All women are welcome.  We create a space to heal and be heard.  Come and drop into yourself. This is a place where women can serve women in a voluntary way and where giving and receiving happen naturally in a place that is open to all women.  The Red Tent will have space for resting, journaling, connecting with others, being creative, making music, meditating, drinking tea, or just breathing.  A circle will be held at 7pm, but the rest of the time is unstructured to allow women's needs and wants to develop and be nurtured organically. If you feel called to wear a little red, please do.  Please feel free to also bring any instruments or other sacred objects you wish to share.

This Red Tent Temple will be held in Rye, NH and will be a monthly event.   For more information or to RSVP to join us, please call 603-498-2735 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .  We will then supply the address.  This is an open event in that you can come and go at any time that you wish.

Please RSVP, and check the share list on the blog . We will need a Priestess for our circle, please contact me if you are called to facilitate. It is flexible and open - inclusive and can be as simple as you wish.

We have opened a Yahoo Group for making communication more organized and easier. You should have received an invitation a couple weeks ago. If you did not receive an invitation to 'Spiral Traditions' yahoo group and would like to, please reply to this email with your request. Make sure it doesn't get eaten by the spam box.

This year marks a special time, with the growth of Red Tent Temples around the world. We are a small but exceptional success story within this movement. In simply coming together once a month to honor ourselves, we participate in an incredible global momentum towards healing and empowerment. Our last Temple was blessed with two newborn babies and an auspicious 13 women. Our team of organizers met in the morning and created some great new plans for strengthening our network, our strategic exposure, and to the blossoming of our sacred space.

We hope to see you at our next Red Tent!

Description

Please read this invitation thoroughly so you know exactly what is happening and how you might participate.Recreating the Women's Moonlodge for today's culture~

Please forward this to anyone you wish to be invited. Last month's gathering was absolutely wonderful!

~ Set up will be from 9-11am.
~ A brief opening/orientation circle will be held at 12 noon.
~ 11-12 am and 12:30-3pm will be free-form, organic time, where you can do what you wish in the space.
~ Formal Circle will be held from 3-5pm
~ 5-7 pm will be community time (farewells, hugs, networking, resting after circle..) and break down of the space.

Located on the beautiful land of Auer Farm we will be held in the arms of Mother Earth while we retreat safely and honor the feminine spirit. The Red Tent will happen every month, on the Sunday closest to the New (dark) Moon.

Inside the Red Tent .........you will find a space to heal and be heard. To be your whole self. To go within and tap into your divine creative source. There will be space to rest, journal, cry, connect with sisters, breathe, meditate, and reconnect with what ties us all together: being woman. Womb or not, bleeding or not, all women from all walks of life are welcome.

Suggested Donations of $10.00 to $20.00 are requested but not mandatory. We do have to pay for the space.

There will be a beautiful storytellers chair, a greivance altar, a community altar, herbal teas and homemade soup. It is sacred space to go within and honor your divine feminine being. A place to remember.

Young women of Menarche age are welcome for all of the day except the formal circle at 3:00 which is adults only.
Nurslings are welcome until walking age.

This vision is held in the spirit of community and collaboration. Everyone who sets this up is working on a volunteer basis, which makes your attendance and contributions integral. Please take a look at the share list below and the garden volunteer dates to see where you are called to collaborate to keeping this vision alive and well. On the side bar to the right, there is a donation button you can use to make financial contributions.
It is vital to our culture and to our next generations that we reclaim our innate Spiral Traditions. We are a culture starved for authenticity - but we don't have to be. The Red Tent Temple is a transformational movement.

RSVPRSVP's are important. We need to know how much soup to make or request, who can Priestess, and who can bring what. When you refer to the share list below - please email us on what it is you are called to bring or do, so we can keep this day organized and wonderful. When you rsvp, you will receive a detailed Temple email in return.

Description

The Red Tent Temple and reinstating the Ancient Moonlodge for today's culture. Inspiration and creation by  Alisa Starkweather from the book  "The Red Tent  " Author  Anita Diamant.

The Red Tent Temple is a vision held in the spirit of community as a group to honor our Sacred Divine Feminine. The intention is that within the space of the Red Tent we care for one another and be cared for , with healing, nourishment, song, meditation , storytelling, council, quiet, rest, herbs, and sharing together.
Come to The Red Tent Temple as beautiful creative women that you are, the Sacred Divine Feminine.
Come in to be heard, to heal, to relax and be quiet, share, journal, create healing art, read, utilize the Goddess Oracles, eat healing soup, drink belly teas,  receive reiki energy, have a hand massage, or have your hair brushed. There will be unstructured time from 11:00am until 2:30pm. You may come for an hour or 2 or 3 but we stop at 2:20 to start the Formal Circle at 2:30pm.

Formal Circle will begin at 2:30 and is a time for all women 18 and up to share what is in their hearts, as we listen deeply what she has to say whatever it is. We laugh, we sing, we cry, and revel in each others company. This is a space to share one story, an insight, a poem, and the storytellers chair is a wonderful place to speak your wisdom if you so choose. We stop to be heard - we stop to listen- we stop to enjoy this day of our daughters becoming a woman and to nourish and celebrate our womanhood.

All girls Menarche age up welcome in The Red Tent.   Only woman 18 and up may come into the formal circle at 2:30 so please accommodate for the girls you bring 17 and under at this time. We have no space at the shop for the girls after this.  Thank you.

This is a free event but donations are welcome as they help keep this vision going strong. They help to pay for the  rental space, and supplies needed to bring the RTT to us.

Suggested Donations--   $10 to 20 dollars

RSVPPlease call or e-mail your RSVP so we can have a head count for healing soup and belly teas.

Thank you and we hope to see you there. Wear Something Red and Bring a Friend!

Red Tent Temples will be meeting around the globe near this new moon, raising energies for women to honor their natural cycles, to take a retreat from responsibilities and to help shape a vision for the future of the planet in balance.

By attuning to our rhythms, by listening to the whispers of our hearts, by taking in comfort for our minds and bodies, we fill our reserves to help create constructive directions for our lives.
Join the women of Withinsight to feel the strength and support generated by caring for ourselves and for each other in community. The Red Tent will hold you, the Mother will affirm
you and the women will welcome you home

As with all Red Tent gatherings, you may arrive and depart at any time during the event. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit by the fire. Soup and tea will be available, and donations of vegetarian finger foods are welcome. If contact us if you are interested in contributing with a song, prayer or poem to open our night, as a greeter to new arrivals, or help with set-up/clean-up. Withinsight's Red Tent Temple invites women of all ages and stages to come and celebrate their divine feminine nature!

The Fable of Withinsight's Red Tent Temple
Once upon a time, long ago (or just last week), a small (or large) group of women gathered to share (or listen to) their true wisdom. They met beneath a bright (or darkened) sky in a snug temple home (or around the outdoor fire). As each woman arrived she was blessed with burning sage (or a warm hug) and invited to nourish herself with soup and tea (or inspiring books from the lending library). She gave her offering, financial or food or goods, and let the outside world (or the tension in her shoulders) fall away.

Each woman settled herself in with a blanket (or a journal) and reflected silently (or with a friend) on just what her heart was longing for in the moment. Two women decide to go for a walk on the land (or to spin poi on the lawn). Other women pulled out handiwork (or massage oils). In the pile of pillows in the corner (or next to the fire), one woman (or two) curled up and took a nap (or giggled together).

Soon, it was time to begin the circle. By turns, each woman checked in and spoke her current needs (or passed). Questions were asked and feedback was offered. Insights on menstruation (or menopause) were presented. The gifts of crone (or maiden or mother) were honored, and the challenges, as well. Tears were shed (or accomplishments were celebrated) and the women remembered themselves. As the circle drew to a close, hands were joined and voices were raised in song (or poetry).

The Red Tent Temple swelled with the power of sisterhood, and later, fond farewells were exchanged with hopes to reconnect at the next Red Tent (or other Withinsight event). The women were grateful for community, and for the time just to be.
And they lived closer to their truth ever after.

Description

Around the country, groups of women are coming together once a month on or near the New Moon, to create a safe, nurturing, healing space by women for women.

Here we can take a nap, journal, spend time in quiet thought with a cup of tea, rest our head in a sister's lap, come to bellydance for the women, sing our sacred songs, share our stories, educate and mentor our young daughters and sisters, listen to our elders.

This Red Tent Temple is currently being held in Glassboro, NJ (email for directions). We are open from 3pm until 9 pm, and women are free to come and go anytime. We have a talking circle together at 7pm, and other times of day are open to the ideas of women who come. This is a free event, with donations lovingly accepted to maintain our meeting space.

Come. Bring your mother, your sisters, your daughters, and most of all your selves. Bring your stories, your talents, your abilities, and your receptivity. The Red Tent Temple is open to all women under the common ground we share of our desire to connect, our deep caring for others and our need for taking care of ourselves. Together we can create the world that we the women want.

Description

Call 570-762-2872 if you have questions.  Happy Spring!
Good Morning Goddesses,

Today is the New Moon, and I'm thinking about our circle coming up soon!  As this is my last week living at Phillies Bridge Farm, I felt it's an auspicious time to open up the farmhouse to the Red Tent.

If anyone wants to come early and check out the farm, I'd be happy to show you around anytime after 3.
The gathering will be from 5-8, with a potluck during/after/whatever feels right.
Bring a snack or a dish if you wish, but more importantly bring yourselves!
We'll do some Springtime visioning and some singing, sharing, and if anyone has any other ideas bring them along.

Also, it's time for Spring cleaning- I'm cleaning out my closet and letting go of various material things.  If you feel it too, bring some clothes or anything else to offer to the group.

And...The farmhouse could use a few more cushions to sit on, so if you have any extra comfy seats bring them along (and any red fabric, etc is also welcome).

See you on Sunday & Have a wonderful week!

Much Love & Many Blessings,
Aileah

P.S. Phillies Bridge Farm is 6 miles south of New Paltz just off rt 208. (about a mile before the 44/55 intersection)  From New Paltz.... take 208 south 5-6 miles, turn right on Phillies Bridge Rd, and the farm is the 2nd right (#45)

Please bring some food to share,  and anything else you feel called to bring....
maybe musical instruments,
a song, candles, insence,
massage lotion/oil, divination cards, a poem, music.....

Please wear some red!

Hope you can join us!

Blessings and much love, Nicole

LocationBethesda and Falls Church
NeedsEmail for more details - help is always appreciated!
Description

The Red Tent Temple is a free, co-created gathering where women can come and go receiving what they need from being in sacred space together.  The intention is that within the space we care for one another and are cared for with sharing, laughter, healing, song, meditation, story telling, council, and quiet rest.

Each Red Tent has been a wonderfully unique experience shaped by the women who come and the energy that comes together in that moment.
Some have been so quiet with napping and massages and whispering by the fire...  Some have been so lively with laughter and singing and dancing on the tables!  The women show up and magic happens...

The movement (or stillness) in the temple is each woman's choosing.  The tea pot gets refilled by the woman who passes through the kitchen and chooses to tend to the task.  Some women come with bundles... food, poetry, journals, pillows, and whatever else their hearts desire...  Some women come basking in the rare freedom of being able to just show up, no prep needed, no bundles to schlep...  All are welcome!

A talking circle anchors the temple, generally at around 7pm.  The circle allows the Hearts and Minds and Spirits of the women to be heard
in sacred space

We are expanding our Bethesda Red Tent to welcome girls as well!  The girls will gather separately downstairs and create their own space and circle. They will be facilitated by Women-in-Power-sister Sayra Pinto-Wilson who brings an experienced gift for facilitating circle process and a passion for working with young people.  My three nine-year-old daughters will be there, and your daughters of any age are welcome too!

We hope you will join us.

Blessings and much love, Nicole

DescriptionTHE RED TENT TEMPLE

Are you wanting to connect with other women in our community?

Do you feel the need to nurture your body, mind, heart and spirit in the company of other women?

Would you like an opportunity to share your experiences or wisdom?

Are experienced in facilitating women’s circles or groups?

We invite you to join us at the Red Tent Temple.

The Red Tent Temple is a safe nurturing space where women can come together to create and connect, and to nurture, support, heal and inspire each other. Here you can rest, do your own art or handcrafts, journal, give or receive bodywork or energy work, meditate, listen to soft music, talk with other women, read, or simply sit still and be. There are separate areas for quiet / healing space and social / sharing space.

It is a place where young women can ask questions and find mentors in absolute acceptance. There is a talking chair where you can share your wisdom or experiences of womanhood with others. There is a Word-of-Mouth Board where you can share information.

We will be offering soup, homemade nourishing cakes (gluten free), and teas to nourish your belly and your womb. We have a slow combustion stove to keep you warm.

If you have ever menstruated you are welcome. Your babies are also welcome until they can crawl. However, as this is a place dedicated to allowing women to recuperate from the noise, demands and busy-ness of their lives and our world, we would ask that you honour yourself and others by taking this time out away from your older children.

Cost:  $10.

Concession is $5.

Or you may offer your time to help with the running of The Red Tent Temple in exchange.

Tea, cakes and soup will be available for a small extra charge from Madonna, who is generously allowing us to use her beautiful space, ‘The Black Madonna Art Lounge’.

Healers and readers are welcome to share their gifts via swap, donation or fee in the adjoining Phoenix Room. If you give or receive a healing or reading, we would ask you donate what you can afford to the Phoenix Room in exchange for having access to this healing space.

The Red Tent Temple meets on the Wednesday closest to the new moon each month at:
